Menos, Hilary
Menos was a journalist in London before moving to Devon, where she lives near Totnes with three children (8, 10 and 12), writes poetry, and organises and compères local poetry cabaret One Night Stanza. Her work has been published in Smiths Knoll, Staple and The Wolf among others. She won the Envoi International Poetry Competition in 2002.
Meral, Ziya
Meral holds a MSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics, and has commented in the press and on television and radio internationally. He is working on two books in Turkish: Being Human in the 21st Century and Jesus the Idiot: Nietzsche contra Dostoyevsky, and is a consultant on religious and ethnic minorities in the Middle East.
Messenger, Nicholas
Messenger was born in 1945, completed a degree at Auckland University, travelled extensively, and lived at various times in France, England and Japan. He has worked as a seaman, security guard, demolition worker and teacher, and currently runs a home-stay business in Hokitika. He won the Glover Poetry award in the 1970s and has had work published in numerous online magazines.

Messerli is the author of several books of poetry and fiction, and is currently working on a multi-volume cultural memoir. He edits Green Integer and was the former publisher of Sun & Moon Press.

Michaels is a widely published writer of prose and poetry. Her collection The Shape of the Rock appeared in 2003 and has been selected for the 2005 Alternative Next Generation Poets list. ‘Ladies Night’ is part of a new series of prose pieces.

Peter has just published selected poems, 'Aftermath', with Salt. His poems have appeared in magazines in Britain and the US. He teaches English at the University of Southampton.
